i agree with you acid.i will have to think very long and hard before ubisucks gets any more of my money.

This is my final post for the game.

I have no more interest in it, completely different from Far Cry 2 where I went on to play Multiplayer for the first time and spent hours building maps but not this time in the end it left me deflated it could have been a fantastic game so back to Battlefield 3 where I can talk to other players and have fun and a lot of laughs. I honestly believe Ubisoft have completely missed the target. Oh sure Ubisoft will sell the game and possibly make money from it but they have lost the colossal market of the “clans”, no multiplayer servers or what ever their problem was.  Hard-line gamers continually push for better and better games apart from improved software it also involves better servers etc. often this involves improved hardware required to run the bigger and better games… they are the lifeblood of the industry.  Without the core of these players the computer industry worldwide wouldn’t be where it is today. They are always pushing the bounds of the game.

I have now played the game twice once on Easy to get a feel and the last time on Hard, sadly there is hardly any difference. Was the game fun not really it was more of an endurance still I stuck it out hoping against hope that it would change sadly it didn’t. I found it boring… could it have been a great game without any doubt the simple answer is Yes.

Ubisoft have taken one step forward and two steps back.  And what really pisses me off is that I gave up playing online to play the game.

The AI for the animals was surprising semi-realistic, sort of.  you have to see it to believe it.

The story line was pathetic I think it was written for delinquent teenagers with nothing better to do, they could have made it far more constructive and created a real adventure rather than through rose coloured glasses of drug induced haze. still I am sure there are many players out there that will find it heart warming to keep killing animals to advance through the game, boring.  Ubisoft.  AI is often predictable… other players not so easy to fool that is the difference with multiplayer you never really know what the other players will do, they are human.

In essence there are a number of parts to the game which run at the same time a bit confusing at the start but one quickly gets the hang of it. There are hundreds of models throughout the game many are not seen if you stick to the plan of reaching a set point, the artistic feel is as good as Far Cry and Far Cry 2 a mixture of both.

What am I going on about, wasting my time talking about a game that could have been great but isn’t,  and that is it, no more talk.

PS   Some of the artistic modelling is unreal and I feel sorry for the modellers that prove just how good they really are, to be punished by the poor execution of  the game.  Sorry guys what a waste.

That’s it, sadly a miserable gamer that cant get his money back. Nothing in the world will get me to part with my money next time Ubisoft hypes up a game, the only consolation is I can return to Battlefield 3 and have fun with my mates.

I eventually got past the part where the video seems to be more important than the game, eventually started no crashes as yet..  it is a bit slow but that is more than likely the Graphics Card.

My first visual impressions of the game is very much a feeling of the original FarCry but boosted up with a more visual impact with the introduction of more animals, and graphic details even little cockroaches running around. A lot more detailed modelling, however I am not to sure whether this slows down the game, the rendering engine is really having to work, perhaps an expert can tell us.

During the first hour I was bitten by a nasty Snake it came out of nowhere and scared the living daylights out of me, I nearly had a heart attack..  bloody lawsuit.  After my pulse came back to n0rmal I started to progress got chewed by a Crocodile, ripped apart by Shark and butted by a Goat, he/she didn’t get away with it,  knife it, skinned it and it now makes a nice ammo pouch, tried to kill a Buffalo but ran out of bullets, it bloody chased me so I jumped into a 4WD, I’ll get the bastard, head butting me, bloody nerve, so I drove the 4WD at it, it ended up staggering around with a headache until I hit again it is now something made out of leather.   I am now a Hunter/Gather my ancestors would be so proud.

Is the game buggy?  Without a doubt Yes, stupid things really I wonder if any of the development Staff played the game before production these are just a few of the things that bugged me, sometimes the speech goes out of synch with the lips, and when parking the 4WD you will find bushes growing up inside, the same thing happened to one of the Boats.  The cars are difficult to steer a really wild ride trying to keep to the road is nearly impossible, the steering needs dampening so at least you can enjoy the scenery, mind you careering off the road takes you to places I don’t think the vehicles were supposed to go but it is bit of fun providing you are not playing too seriously.

Have some more game to play, let  you know how I go.

Following my decision to try another graphics card a number of display issues seem to clear up, however the Servers had by that time come online.  My original card was a NVidia Quadro not really designed for gaming more professional Graphics work, ( however never had a problem with COD, Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 3 ).    I changed this for a NVidia  Ge Force 9400 nothing really special… but it worked.

After installation the drivers needed updating, recommended Beta Version  310.64,  I am not saying this may fix all of the issues but it may be worth a try.

sent my copy back to amazon,to many bugs,cant join servers then if you do waiting for more players so p eople leave,then wait, did get in a game so laggy made me feel sea sick,godd old UBISUCKS
